What was that?

Tonight at dinner Jeremy and I had to chuckle over the following exchange:

Katie: Dad, I want to learn to milk a cow. Can you teach me sometime?

Ashton: Eww! That's disguistin'! I never want to touch those gudders!

Hey, I thought y'all raised beef cows. I just wasn't sure with what Katy said.

I am glad y'all are a farming family because I can so relate to stuff you blog about. You live it more than I do, though, since it is my FIL running the farm, not us.

Yes, they are beef cattle. If they were dairy cows maybe we would have gotten "udders" right. But, they did have a milk cow or two when Jeremy was growing up so he knows how to milk them and frequently talks about how wonderful it is to have a milk cow because then you can have home-made ice cream all the time. I have no idea why she wants to learn to milk. :)
